For years, pet owners have been told that their furry family members interfere with their z's. After all, pets can be restless sleepers too (though dogs are the bigger offenders on that score). But the opposite may be true, at least according to the people surveyed by the Mayo Clinic.
The clinic's Center for Sleep Medicine in Arizona collected data from about 150 patients. Although some blamed their pets for their trouble snoozing, the majority said they slept BETTER because they were bed-sharing with their furball(s). The reason: Their four-legged friends made them feel relaxed and secure.
