10 frosted cream-filled oblong chocolate cakes, like Yodels or Ho Hos
1 tube (.75 oz.)** each black and white writing icing,** like Wilton
15 red spiced gumdrops
5 sheets strawberry fruit leather, like Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-Ups, halved
Step 1: Make heads
Cut off 1 end of each cake and stand upright. Using black and white icing, decorate 10 gumdrops with faces and pipe bow tie onto each cake; let dry. Quarter remaining gumdrops lengthwise; shape into horns and secure to gumdrops with icing.
Step 2: Add capes
Pipe a pea-size dot of icing on top of each cake to attach head to body. Wrap fruit leather around cakes for capes.
