The Frito-Lay company is recalling two types of their jalapeño-flavored chips, fearing potential salmonella poisoning.
The company issued a voluntary recall of their Jalapeño Flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked chips after they discovered that the company that supplies their jalapeño seasoning had recalled their product after possible contamination.

Frito-Lay, which is widely known for their popular snacks like Doritos and Cheetos, said they did not detect any salmonella contamination in their jalapeño-flavored products. However, they chose to issue the recall to be on the safe side.
Chips with a guaranteed fresh by date of July 4 or prior are affected, as well as their multi-chip snack packages with a July 4 or prior guaranteed fresh by date. The latter includes:
