New York City has a reputation for being a cold place--and we don't mean weather-wise, either. But if the city is trying to shake off its bad rap, this video, posted by SoFlo, won't help.
It starts off with a shot of a boy dressed in t-shirt and jeans on a 5-degree F. day (so WAY below freezing). Even though he's cold and hungry, the passersby ignore his pleas. This goes on for TWO hours, until the boy, shivering, wraps himself in a plastic bag and tries to stay warm.
Then the unlikeliest hero stops by--and even though he clearly isn't well off, gives the young boy his coat, some money, and much kindness. And while it can be argued that the person FILMING this encounter didn't help either, the video does provide evidence for the uplifting message at the end: "It's not how much you give, but how much love is put into giving."
Words to live by for sure!
