Give your sweetie a one-of-a-kind snack with this simple and special egg upgrade!
1. Gather your tools
You’ll need a rounded chopstick, two rubber bands, a peeled hard-boiled egg and a clean empty cardboard milk carton or cereal box. From length of carton, cut a 4"-wide strip and fold lengthwise.
2. Place the egg
Set the egg in the crease of the cardboard strip, then place the chopstick on the egg as shown and gently push down, taking care not to break the egg.
3. Secure the mold
Cinch each end of the cardboard strip and chopstick tightly with rubber bands. This will apply pressure to the center of the egg without breaking it. Let the egg sit in this mold for 15 to 30 minutes to slowly shape it into a heart.
4. Get set for raves!
Remove the rubber bands and take out the egg. Then slice the egg open to reveal the heart-shaped yolk inside. Serve as a protein-packed breakfast or anytime snack that’s sure to brighten your sweetheart's day, or place slices on a salad for a Valentine’s Day dinner surprise.
