It was a sad day yesterday for Dr. Oz and his family. As rain swept the New Jersey town where he lives, the cardiologist, his wife, and kids all gathered to say goodbye to a beloved family member--their dog, Rosie, whom they'd had for years.

The family pet had been suffering from a tumor and renal failure for months, and so Dr. Oz had no choice but to put her down. But as Dr. Oz wrote on his Facebook page, Rosie was comforted by the sight of her human family around her. "It was the most peaceful she looked in weeks," he added.
Then came the last lines that will bring tears to anybody's eyes: "Rosie, we're all going to miss you dearly, but we're grateful for the amazing years we had with you and the light you brought to our lives. We love you."
