Dolly Parton appeared on NBC's The Voice on Tuesday, Dec. 8, to sing a gentle version of her 1971 hit song "Coat of Many Colors"--and she sounded amazing, as always!

The 69-year-old country legend sang the fan-favorite--which she wrote about a handmade coat her late mother, Avie Lee, sewed for her when she was a young girl--in honor of her faith and family-based film Coat of Many Colors, which aired on NBC on Dec. 9, at 9 pm EST.

In the TV movie--which chronicles Dolly's childhood in the Smoky Mountains --Alyvia Alyn Lind stars as young Dolly, while Ricky Schroder and Jennifer Nettles portray the singer's father and mother, respectively.
