Dolly Parton Reveals the Surprising Way She Keeps Her Waist So Slim

Tags:

In addition to her undeniable talent, there’s no doubt that Dolly Parton has long been recognized for her tiny waist. Ever wonder how she achieves such results? Turns out, her secret to looking so slim actually lies in her hair!

That’s right. In an interview with British talk show host Graham Norton, the country singer recently revealed that she keeps her microphone in a secret compartment inside her wig. It’s a trick that eliminates any extra bulk around her waist, an issue experienced by most other artists who store their microphone packs in their mid sections.

“Dolly Parton is so tiny, and so proud of her tiny waist, that she has a little pocket built into all her wigs for her microphone pack, so that her waist can stay as tiny as possible,” Norton said. “She must have microwaved bits of her brain, but that is more important.”

We’re sure he’s only joking!

Norton, who recently made a documentary with Dolly called Graham Goes to Dollywood, also added that Dolly is a “lovely woman” and remains his favorite guest to date.

It’s no secret that Dolly always looks amazing, so it’s hard to believe that the Grammy-winning star is, in fact, 71 years old. In a previous interview, she revealed to our editors her ultimate anti-aging secret to glowing skin: Vaseline!

“I try all the new things that come out, but there’s nothing better than good old Vaseline and those Almay eye makeup remover pads,” Parton shared. “I use those little pads to clean my face, and they leave enough mineral oil on my skin that they’re a good nighttime moisturizer. I have pretty good skin considering my age, and I think a lot of it is mineral oil and bacon grease.”

Whatever her quirky tips may be, we can only hope to look as good as Dolly one day!
