Winter's cold, gloomy days have a way of not only making skin dry, red and irritated, they also lead to a serious case of the blahs. That's why we're whipping up a pampering DIY facial scrub to ensure a glowing complexion AND boost energy.
Follow this simple recipe:
1) In a bowl, place 2 Tbs. of brown sugar, which buffs away dead, dry skin.
2) Add 2 Tbs. plain yogurt to hold the scrub together and add moisture to skin.
3) Mix in 3 drops of energizing peppermint essential oil (optional).
4) Stir in 1 tsp. of anti-inflammatory, skin-soothing honey.
To do: Dampen your face and gently massage the scrub into skin for 1 minute. Tip: Exfoliate at night to reduce irritation from makeup and sunscreen.
