Dad Snaps Touching Photo with Newborn with Scantily Clad New Mom in the Background
Every new mom knows there’s a big possibility she’ll head home from the hospital wearing the same thing as her baby–a diaper. And as totally normal as this postpartum effect is, it’s often swept under the rug and not discussed in public.
But one mom, Amanda Bacon, decided to be a little more uncensored about it.
After she gave birth, her husband was tending to her newborn in their hospital room when he decided to take a selfie with the adorable baby in his arms and his wife in the background–wearing nothing but her diaper with her back to the camera.
As shocking as the picture was, Amanda decided to do something even more shocking with it. She shared it publicly on her Facebook page.
“I’m sharing this picture because it’s real,” she wrote in the caption. “This is motherhood; it’s raw, stunning, messy, and freaking hilarious all rolled into one.”

She went on to explain that the realities of postpartum life aren’t spoken about enough, and she wants to educate about and embrace every part of childbirth, even moments like that one.
She wrote, “Nothing says welcome to motherhood like an adorable squishy baby, and a giant mom diaper.”
Judging on how quickly the photo went viral, we’re guessing many women agree with her!
