You might want to cancel your scheduled flight and rebook one with Delta, because Delta Air Lines is now offering free prosecco as part of their in-flight services. Though customers on the international flights have always had the options of complimentary beer, white and red wines, and spirits, this is the first time that the airline is offering Avissi Prosecco for all of its international flights.
The best part? You don't even have to fly first class to pop the bubbly. Originally, the Prosecco was only available to first class and Delta Comfort+ passengers back in June, but this announcement means people flying in the main cabin of the plane finally have the chance to get in on the fun, too. How wonderful it is that those of us who can't afford to fly first class get this (delicious) chance to celebrate at last.
"Sparkling wine is often the first choice for a celebration and we know how special it is for people to jet off on a trip so we wanted to bring the celebration to them," said Lisa Bauer, Delta's Vice President of On-Board Services.
Considering Delta already made a bold move earlier this year in offering free in-flight texting on all their flights through Gogo, its inflight internet provider, we can't wait to see what move they make next for their customers. After all, drinking some sparkling wine while staying connected to our loved ones on a long flight already sounds like a dream come true.
