Packed with filling fiber and immune-boosting antioxidants, these adorable winter waddlers will keep the whole gang energized through a romp in the snow
4** red pears** (about 4½” high)
3/4 cup chopped white chocolate, melted
8 mini marshmallows
1 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
8 white candy disks or flat round sprinkles
8 mini brown round candies or mini chocolate chips
9 red gummy candy wedges or slices, divided
Using knife, cut 2 slits upwards toward top of pears on either side of belly (do not cut all the way through) to make flippers. Place marshmallow between in slit to prop up flippers. With small pastry brush, brush pears with melted dark chocolate to coat remaining visible pear skin, including flippers. Let sit 2 min.; repeat. Let sit 5 min. or until chocolate is set. Carefully dip or brush belly’s again with reserved melted white chocolate to cover the dark chocolate edge around belly, if desired.
Using chocolate as glue, attach the white candy disks and brown candies for eyes. From 5 gummy candies, cut 4 bowties and 4 triangle shaped noses; attach to pears. Cut remaining gummy candies in half lengthwise to create feet; attach. Remove marshmallows. Serve immediately.
