Kevon Smith Sr. didn't know what to think when he noticed an older couple staring at him and his young son Kevon Smith Jr. while they ate at Cracker Barrel.

Smith Sr. said, "They kept smiling at me and I was looking at my son like, what is going on?"
But when the devoted father returned to his car, he instantly knew. There was cash waiting on his car's dashboard, along with a note.
The note read, "Today your meal is on my wife and me. Enjoy that baby boy as long as God intends. Keep doing what you’re doing. The Masons."

Little did the Masons know, they touched on something deeper than a simple act of kindness. Smith's dad had been absent during his childhood, so he was determined to do things right with his own son.
"This is great for me, to be able to do this and do it the right way, you know be there for him," he said.
