A popular kitchen item could pose a major safety hazard, according to an important alert just issued. If you own a Cuisinart food processor that was purchased in the last 20 years, the Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising that you stop using it immediately.

Conair has recalled 8 million Cuisinart food processors because the riveted blade can crack over time and leave metal shards in the processed food, leading to mouth lacerations and tooth injuries. The company has received 69 reports of consumers finding metal fragments in processed food.
