Benjamin Franklin once called death and taxes the only certainties in life. But anyone familiar with General Mill’s Nature Valley Crunchy Bars knows there’s one more thing that can be added to this list: the classic snacks are rock hard. Despite their tooth-breaking texture and customer complaints that they should be softer, the bars are wildly popular, which is why we were shocked to learn that General Mills will be changing this granola giant.
General Mills just rolled out a new line of gluten-free granola bars under the Nature Valley brand and is finally listening to their loyal fans and softening the Crunchy Bars, according to Quartz. Although the company hasn’t yet announced how exactly the bars will change, they said that the new bars will be “easier to bite into,” telling Quartz that they will be “a little less hard.” Though there’s no word on when this change will come, we look forward to sinking our teeth into one.
