A simple accordion fold will upcycle a plain paper napkin into a clever (and cooling!) plate topper.
What you’ll need:
One dinner-size paper napkin
One 1" x 3" piece of scrap paper
Optional (for name tag): Pinking shears, one sheet of white paper and a glue stick
Accordion-fold the napkin, creating 1" pleats. Cinch one end and wrap it with the scrap paper to make a band. Secure with tape. Optional: Make a name tag by cutting the piece of white paper into a small rectangle using pinking shears. Scroll on a name. Use a glue stick to adhere it to one of the end pleats.
