BROOKLINE, New Hampshire -- Brides have a long list of things to worry about on their wedding day: hair and makeup, their wedding dress, and even their bridesmaids. But the limo breaking down isn’t usually on it.
Five minutes after leaving her house, the limo that was supposed to take Angelique Arsenault, her bridesmaids, and her family to the wedding ceremony got a flat tire.
Good thing Angelique has practice in patience--she'd already waited 11 years to marry the groom, Jarrod Dunning.

“It didn’t even seem real at the time, but it happened,” Angelique told a CBS affiliate in Boston.
Fortunately, the girls had a sense of humor about the situation, and the champagne in the car helped.
Taking matters into her own hands, Arsenault did the only thing left to do: she tried to hitch a ride. But Russell Hill Road, where the limo broke down, isn’t a busy street.
“We actually had cars driving by us and they just took pictures and left and then finally someone actually stopped to see if we needed a ride.”
Then a man named Jay pulled up. He had a bunch of kids in the car, so he dropped them off first, and when he returned, he asked Arsenault, “where to?”
Mile Away, where the ceremony was to be held, was actually seven rural miles away, and groom Jarrod was still waiting. He joked that at the beginning he thought Angelique was standing him up.

Fortunately, Angelique and her entourage were only 30 minutes late.
It wasn’t until the honeymoon that Angelique realized Jay’s act of kindness made the entire day.
“Everyone was laughing all night about it. It’s going to be a story we’ll remember forever.”
