Best Buy Employees Buy Wii U for Shy Teen Who Played in the Store Every Day

When you find yourself shopping the deals at the mall this season, be sure to smile at your clerk, since he or she just may be working for the North Pole. Santa’s elves seem to be hard at work everywhere this season–even at Best Buy.

That’s how people in Long Island in New York are feeling, after they saw this heartwarming clip. Apparently, employees at a Best Buy store noticed that every day for the last month, the same teenager came in to play their store’s display Wii U console.

So, the generous employees decided to chip in their own money to buy him a Wii U to take home with him, catching him TOTALLY off-guard. Watch!

“I’m being serious,” the employee insists. “For real. It’s for you. It will be your Christmas present, all right? Early Christmas present.”

The boy seems stunned by the kind act, but he finally breaks into a smile after receiving the generous gift and manages to shake hands with other people on staff.

“After purchasing the Wii U for him, they actually drove him home, where his parents were beyond welcoming,” wrote Rahiem Storr, who posted one video on YouTube and identified himself as a Best Buy manager. A second video posted mentions that employees told the boy he’s welcome to come back anytime to play at the store, too.

So sweet!
