So what are the chances? Caitlin and Tom Perkins, who live in Australia, were born a mere 50 minutes apart on August 16, 1986. They met, they got married, and this year they both turned 30. Only this birthday was extra-extra special, thanks to their brand-new daughter, Lucy.
When the Perkins learned that their firstborn was due some time in mid-August, friends and family joked about the baby arriving in time for their birthdays. Even her doctor teased the mom-to-be about it. But lo and behold, the little girl decided to come a week early and was born on August 16, 2016--30 years to the day after her parents. The odds of that? A whopping 1-in-48 million according to the doctor that delivered Lucy.
