When doctors discovered a tumor in 7-year-old Hayley Brown's nose, she was diagnosed with cancer and immediately began an intensive eight-month chemotherapy treatment. Like most chemo patients, she lost her beautiful brown hair. The one thing that remained, though, were her enviable long lashes. But then she lost those, too.
"People, including her older sister, always said how jealous they were of her beautiful big eyelashes,” Andrew Brown, Hayley's father said.

In October of 2016, Andrew shared a photo of Hayley's last eyelash. It stuck around for a few weeks, but eventually, it fell out. The heartbreaking photo immediately went viral, and it's not hard to understand why.
After just six months of intense treatment, Hayley and her family have some great news: The tumor is gone and her hair is finally growing back.
During her chemo battle, Hayley was a trooper, sitting through endless doctor visits and dealing with the pain. And just in time for Christmas. her family finally got some good news. Scans showed the tumor was gone earlier than expected. Talk about a Christmas miracle!
Today, Hayley is still on the mend but her beloved hair is growing back. Her eyelashes are filling in and even though they're not as thick as they once were, they're getting there, slowly but surely.
