Because of winter storm Jonas, many on the East Coast were forced to spend lots of time lazing around this weekend (not complaining!). But while we were watching movies on our couches, a North Carolina mom was giving birth to a beautiful baby girl on hers.

According to WSOC-TV Amanda Anderson experienced contractions on Thursday night, so in anticipation of the impending snowstorm she and her husband tried to get admitted to not one but two hospitals. In both cases, they were sent home; doctors didn't think she was far enough along to warrant spending the night. But medical pros and the couple themselves were soon shocked to learn that the baby couldn't wait for the storm to pass.

Early Friday morning Anderson called 911 and with the help of paramedics the happy couple welcomed their third child, Annabelle, in their living room.
If they go for a fourth kid, here's hoping it's a spring baby.
