Annick was walking through the airport when a beauty products salesman approached her with a "free" soap sample.
The mom wasn't surprised when he tried to sell her something. What she was surprised by was how he tried to sell it to her.
He said, "Let me show you our face serum, because if you aren’t careful to maintain your skin now, these wrinkles on your face will get much deeper. By 45, creams won’t help anymore."
So she asked him, "What’s wrong with a woman looking 40?"
"Well let’s talk about the bags under your eyes, and smile lines," he said. "My eye cream could improve those in 15 minutes."
Little did he know, she had the BEST response ready.
She said, "I have a miracle baby at home and haven’t slept in two years, so if I have bags I am grateful to have them, and my husband and I laugh a lot."
The man nervously continued along with his sale pitch, warning her about the effects of aging on the skin. As other customers listened in, he even tried to offer her a special.
But she would have none of it.
"I look fine now, and when I’m 45 I will look fine, and when I’m 50 I will look fine, because there is nothing wrong with a woman aging," she said. "Old age is a privilege denied to many, and I don’t appreciate you marketing youth instead of your products, and denigrating aging women as a sales tactic. Thank you, but I don’t want or need your cream."
Annick shared her story and photo from that day on Facebook, where it's picked up more than 35,000 likes and more than 34,000 shares. In an update, she said she never expected it to get so much attention, but since it has, she wants to use it to start a movement to say no to brands that "require you to hate yourself in order to sell their products."

"Don't try to be young. Just open your mind. Stay interested in stuff. There are so many things I won't live long enough to find out about, but I'm still curious about them." -- Betty White
