They say love grows stronger with time. Apparently, so do wedding photos.
A senior couple in China proved that much when they recreated their wedding pictures on their 70th wedding anniversary. Wang Deyi, 98, and Cao Yuehua, 97, married in 1945 in a amazing ceremony, complete with a stunning backdrop, gorgeous outfits and beautiful plants as props. But it's safe to say they might have upstaged themselves in the new pictures.
Not only were they dressed in wedding garb, but they were also photographed in the same exact location where they got married, with the help of their four children, who wanted them to document their story.
As the couple's youngest son, 60-year-old Cao Pangpei, said, "They have been together for so long, going through the war, the political turmoil and diseases, and can still stay with each other and love each other. We want to help them to commemorate their love."
According to Pangpei, his parents may not be able to remember many things in their advanced age, but they are still able to recite poems that they wrote to each other during wartime, when his father served as an interpreter for the U.S. army during WWII. Now that's true love!
